Welcome to The North West Adobe User Group (UK)

Welcome to the relaunched website of The North West Adobe User Group (or NWAG as we like to call it). Based in South Manchester, UK, we provide opportunities for users of Photoshop and other Adobe products to meet up, network and share information and tips and tricks.

Whether you are a beginner or an expert, a professional or a home-user / hobbyist, everyone is welcome. Group members do not have any obligations, although we will encourage you to participate and help the group to grow and prosper.

Local Meetings

Local meetings are held on a Tuesday evening at The Old Pelican Inn which is located on Manchester Road (the A56) on the Sale/Timperley border.

Meetings start at 7.30pm and last until about 10pm. The Pelican is actually a pub which also does very nice food - download the menu.

Online Meetings

We run regular online meetings, using Adobe Connect, a web-based collaboration and conferencing tool. All you need to participate is an internet connection (broadband or dialup) and a set of headphones or speakers.

An Evening With NWAG

A typical meeting starts with an informal "tips, tricks and questions" session - a chance for attendees to share IT-related knowledge and also seek advice from fellow users. The main part of the meeting is a presentation, delivered either by one of our group members or a guest speaker.

So whether your interest lies in photography (Lightroom, Photoshop Elements, Bridge), web design/development (Dreamweaver, Flash, Fireworks) or any of the other Adobe applications (Acrobat, Illustrator or InDesign), we're sure that you'll find something of interest.

June 2008 Meeting Report

We had a very successful meeting with a good turnout for the first in our series of Summer of Design events when we took a took a tour of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom and Adobe Bridge. It was great to see so many enthusiastic Adobe users. Hope you all join us in July for the continuation of our Summer of Design series of events, we'll be taking a look at enhancing your photographs with Adobe Photoshop.
